Salmon report

6/12/11 — First, a quick rundown on my past fishing. I haven’t fished for salmon for the past several days. I have been doing rockfish/crab combo’s. Pretty much the same report as before. Fished north and had 6 or more lings per trip with an average of 3/4 limits of rockfish. The grade of rockfish has been excellent with some black rockfish pushing 5 pounds! Great fun on light tackle. Picture; company trip (Pacific Supply Santa Rosa/San Rafael) showing off some good groceries. Trip was on 6/11. Crabbing has still been great! Now for the Salmon report; The salmon started biting the day before yesterday with the bite increasing by the day. Today’s report was most of the private boats were on their way in by 9:00 with limits of nice salmon. Largest one I heard of was 36 pounds caught out of Albion. I heard of lots of 25 pounders landed right out front of Noyo Harbor. Tomorrow I have 2 salmon trips so I should have a report up early evening. Wish us luck! Fish-On!
